Best Self Tanning Lotion

We all like the way a tan makes us look: glowing and healthy. However, tanning by sitting in the sun or by using tanning beds can be dangerous and can cause skin cancer. It can also damage skin tissue such that it causes wrinkles, sunspots, and more. Worse, it can be very uncomfortable and very easy to sit in the sun or lie in a tanning bed too long, which means you can also burn or blister.

All these things are uncomfortable, and of course they can be dangerous. Do you really want to look old and wrinkled before your time — or worse, do you want to risk getting any skin cancer simply to “look good”?

There are also other drawbacks to becoming tan through traditional methods. It can also take a long time to get tan with traditional methods — and if you decide you want to keep your tan up, you are going to have to go through this time-consuming process of tanning over and over again, on a regular basis, to keep your tan once you’ve got it.

Tanning lotions are different. Because you can get a tan within minutes of using a sunless tanning lotion, and because it’s easy to keep up your tan simply by reapplying a self tanning lotion on a regular basis, it’s not only healthier for you to get your tan this way, but it’s a lot easier (and less expensive) to keep it, too. And, of course, you get your tan much faster.

Other benefits to using the best self-tanning lotion

Think about this for a minute; it’s pretty expensive to get a tan through conventional methods, but if you want to keep up that tan, what you do when you go on vacation where you can’t easily get to a tanning bed or live out in the sun? The thing is, it’s pretty inconvenient to keep your tan up once you’ve got one if you’ve gotten it through regular methods.

Using the best self-tanning lotion is much more convenient. You simply tuck a bottle of it into your purse or suitcase, and you can take it with you wherever you go. No more worrying about finding a tanning bed or place to lie out in the sun — and again, no worries about premature aging, wrinkles, spots, skin cancer — you name it.

The best self-tanning lotion is going to give you the benefits of tanning with none of the drawbacks. Many of the best self tanning lotions also include what’s called “sun protection factor” or protection from the sun of at least 15, which means you can have your sunscreen and your tanning lotion at the same time.

What’s the best self tanning lotion to use?

New brands of self-tanning lotion come out on the market all the time, and it’s a good idea to try several, until you find one you like, and then stick to it. If you have very sensitive skin, find a good self-tanning lotion that doesn’t have any fragrance included in it. Many self-tanning lotions contain dihydroxyacetone, also known as DHA. In general, this is very safe and effective, and a great way to get a tan.

  1. I once used a self tanning lotion from Nivea. It did a pretty good job, the tan was nice looking, and natural, but there was a down side. The smell was nasty.

Now I’m looking for a tanning lotion which does not smell like that.
